#RejectFinanceBill2024 : The gap between Kenya's Recurrent Expenditure Vs Development Expenditure keeps growing wider

The total actual expenditure is expected to increase of Kshs 3.147 trillion in 2022/23 to Kshs 3.983 trillion in 2023/24. Actual development spending is expected to rise by 82.04% from Kshs 431.99 Billion in 2022/23 to Kshs 786.4 Billion in 2023/24. Actual recurrent spending is expected to increase by 17.73% from Kshs 2.715 Trillion to Kshs 3.197 Trillion(Source: KNBS-Economic Survey 2024).
