The number of active mobile money subscriptions in Kenya stood 37.99 million, as at June 2023

The advent of M-pesa in 2007 and the growth of Mobile banking over the last decade has seen Kenyans rely more on their smartphones to carry out transactions.

As of June 2023, the number of active mobile subscriptions stood at 37.99 million, an increase compared to June 2022 (37.22 million).
