Leading countries in installed renewable energy capacity worldwide in 2023(in gigawatts)

One of our recent posts touched on the CO2 emissions of a few select African countries. Today's post looks at the countries leading in installed renewable energy capacity.



According to Statista (https://www.statista.com/statistics/267233/renewable-energy-capacity-worldwide-by-country/), China led the world in installed renewable energy capacity as of 2023, with 1,453 Gigawatts. The US (388 GW) and Brazil (194 GW) came in second and third places respectively.
